About Me

Welcome to my office
I received my master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, with a specialization in expressive arts therapy. I am a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA MFC license 51830).
I am also a graduate of the Integrative Medicine Program at the Institute for Health and Healing, and a former licensed physical therapist. I have specialized training in the utilization of guided imagery, expressive arts, ketamine-assisted therapy and traditional "talk" psychotherapy to assist clients with a variety of challenging medical and psychological conditions. I am also a student of the Enneagram, a personality typing system that maps and describes 9 personality styles.
As I have studied and grown in my work, I am understanding more deeply the ways in which our that our culture is long-infected with toxic racism. I am committed to becoming an anti-racist therapist and welcome the sometimes difficult conversations about race and the impact of racism on my clients' lives.
As a writer, painter and student of many forms of creative therapies, I know firsthand the power of the arts to generate personal transformation. It takes courage to seek help, and dedication to make changes in old patterns and beliefs. A therapeutic relationship based on trust, honesty and acceptance is the safe crucible in which change takes place. In the work we will do together, I will be committed to honoring our co-created therapeutic relationship with empathy and non-defensiveness, and will stand with you as you face yourself and discover emerging pathways to greater creativity and ease.
